ABOUT THE FILM
The Point and Drive Documentary promotes a greater understanding of the marching band culture, it’s lessons that shape future leaders, history, and its societal influence through film. Real life experiences through the voices of renowned alumni, musicians, business influencers, professors and experts who benefited from being in the marching band and attending HBCU’s (Historically Black College and University) on screen, will prove to be an educational, interactive, inspirational, and unforgettable experience for all who participate.
The documentary also tells for the first time in history the story of the most imitated marching and famous band, The Florida A&M University Marching 100 from it's alumni's voices and it's founder Dr. William P. Foster's plight on building the band into a brand admired the world over. It covers it's rise, fall, and comeback after almost losing it all in 2011.
Using the documentary film as an entertainment and educational tool, the film delivers the powerful message that "Band is Life" across the globe and goes directly to our communities to drive the message of celebrating our past while empowering our future sparking a movement in music and the arts, the future of our schools, and reigniting drive in our communities, careers, and life.
WORK HARD OR WORK HARDER. THOSE WERE THE OPTIONS.

How We Work
We know first hand that being a part of a band and playing an instrument has saved many lives and created many successful men and women. The discipline, teamwork, and dedication you must possess to be a part of a band is the breeding ground for success in life. Yet many schools do not see the value and continue to cut funding. We want to share Point and Drive with the world so that people will not only see the value, but that kids will see what's possible for them in life. We believe the stories in the film will inspire kids in the classroom to excellence plus enable them to learn the rich history of the marching band.

FILM SCREENINGS & CONTENT
We produce stories about the world of band and all of the success stories of it's members - as films, TV and radio programs, curriculum, and books - providing a new and different vision for a young adults future.

PARTNERSHIPS
We partner with organizations, schools, band directors, companies, governments, non-profits, celebrities, global leaders and parents to drive awareness of the benefits of music and marching band around the globe.

PROGRAMS
We are a solution for recruitment efforts of band directors, schools, and arts programs by providing creative content enhancing their efforts to educate and engage young people and to create measurable change, community by community and note by note.

AN INTERACTIVE
CULTURAL AND ENTERTAINMENT EXPERIENCE
We bring the homecoming experience to you! Our turn-key screening experience provides the perfect combination of the excitement of an HBCU campus, the nostalgic feeling of homecoming reunions, and an exclusive red-carpet papparazzi moment.
After the screening, our audiences have the ability to have a question and answer with the Producer of Point and Drive. We also have a signature panel discussion with successful band alumni entitled "Started From The Band And Now We're Here" which shows the connection between success in life and what you learn on the marching band field.

Fantastic Film with a Universal Message told through a cultural treasure
The film educates and entertains showing the most detatiled look into the culture of marching bands and the history of the journey led by the pioneer of marching bands, Dr. William P. Foster had to endure in the height of segregation. The themes are perseverance, work ethic, pursuing excellence, and also addresses having self confidence and leadership.

Reignites Drive!
Shows Models of Success to Aspire to
Only 10% of band members are music majors, leaving 90% to gain degrees in other areas of expertise. The film highlights several successful band alumni in multiple fields doing amazing things using the foundation they learned on the marching band field as their bar of excellence. For many moviegoers, the film presents a reminder of what they were able to achieve, and reignites hope for the future.

Great Recruitment Tool
For many students, the marching band continues to take the lead as a major decision maker in the college they attend. Point and Drive does for this generation in recruitment what "A Different World" and "School Daze" did for kids in the 90's. This generation is extremly visual, and using the medium of film, in just 90 minutes, we have seen kids from middle school to college be injected with the desire to be more and pursue excellence.
